State Senator Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) today announced he has hired Vicente Verduzco, United States Marine Corps veteran and Madera resident. Verduzco’s responsibilities will be representing the Senator in the Madera and Fresno communities, as well as serving 12th Senate District veterans.

“I am excited to have Vicente join my team. He brings a very diverse set of skills, including serving our country in the United States Marine Corps and a strong record of working with the community,” said Cannella. “His dedication to public service is admirable, and I am confident he will work hard to ensure our constituents receive the attention they deserve.”

After graduating from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego in 2007, Verduzco trained as an Aviation Ordinance Technician, later joining the HMH-361 Flying Tigers. He was deployed to Iraq in 2009, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2010, Verduzco was deployed to Afghanistan, supporting Operation Enduring Freedom and NATO Forces. He was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal in 2012.

Verduzco has received numerous awards and recognitions for his service, including the Marine Corps Good Conduct medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Certificate of Commendation, and the NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan.

“Senator Cannella is a man who repeatedly has shown his dedication to his constituents and communities. He has demonstrated a strong commitment to our veterans, making sure they receive the resources and services they have earned for serving our country,” said Verduzco. “I look forward to working with him to continue his efforts in making sure the Madera and Fresno communities and 12th District veterans are represented and heard.”
