Today, Senator Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) selected Label Technology as his Green Business of the Year and presented them with a Senate resolution in recognition of their commitment to environmentally-friendly business practices.
“It’s always a pleasure to have the opportunity to recognize a stand-out business in our community,” said Cannella. “Label Technology really makes a concerted effort toward conscientious business practices that benefits the environment, their customers and their workforce.”
Label Technology was started in a garage in 1986 and now boasts $35 million in business and operates out of a 160,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility with 125 employees.
Through Label Technology’s workforce and environmental stewardship committee they make the environment a priority in every aspect of their business. From the ink and adhesives used, to the water consumed in and around the facility, not to mention all the recycling efforts.
At the Merced Chamber of Commerce office, Senator Cannella congratulated the CEO, David Bankson and his entire team for their commitment to the environment and our community.
“We are very appreciative to Senator Cannella for this recognition,” said Bankson. “Being environmentally-contentious is our company culture and we are proud of our growth and history that brought us here today.”
