State Senator Anthony Cannella (R-Ceres) announced he has selected Madera resident Debi Bray as the 12th Senate District’s Woman of the Year for her continued commitment to the Madera community.
“Debi has devoted herself to ensuring a better Madera community for more than three decades and has a very impressive record of volunteer service,” said Cannella. “She is an example of what it means to selflessly give back, consistently giving her time, resources, dedication and expertise to dozens of organizations, agencies and community service groups. It is my honor to recognize Debi as 12th Senate District Woman of the Year.”
Bray currently serves as a board member and volunteers her time at several Madera organizations and agencies, including the Madera County Workforce Investment Board and Workforce Development Board, the Kiwanis Club, where she was the first female member, the Madera Downtown Association, the Angel Tree Program, the Madera District Fair Junior Livestock Auction, Madera Academic Decathlon, and the Madera Chamber of Commerce in a variety of different roles for 28 years.
Bray was personally recognized by Sen. Cannella’s staff last night at the Madera Chamber of Commerce Installation Dinner. Although Sen. Cannella was unable to attend, he surprised Bray with a video from him recognizing her for this honor.
